Andrea Smith, MSN, FNP-C, has been a valued team member at Parkinson Dermatology since 2023 and is excited to begin her new role as a nurse practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University and completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Southern Indiana. Andrea has experience in a variety of settings, including pediatrics, orthopedics, a residential teen facility as a school nurse, and cosmetic dermatology (laser treatments, botox, and fillers). 

Having begun yearly skin checks herself at age 11, Andrea feels she has been connected to the field of dermatology for most of her life and continues to pursue ongoing education in the specialty. She values patient education and collaboration, believing that the best outcomes come from partnering with patients to create individualized care plans.

Outside of work, Andrea stays busy with her five children at dance recitals and cross-country meets. She also enjoys exploring the beauty of the national parks with her family and looks forward to traveling the world together.
